Educational System and Challenges

Despite continuous efforts by the government and the private sectors, the educational system in Tanzania still faces significant challenges.

While accessibility to primary education has dramatically improved due to the ban of tuition in government primary schools. Other affordability concerns remain for both primary and secondary education. These fees include costs for uniforms, textbooks, secondary school tuition and special project contributions. And still further issues need to be addressed in rural areas, where schools are located far away from the children's homes.
